”Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” – Confucius
Jennie can remember being toted around San Antonio as a child with her mother who was noted among the top agents there. Jennie’s older sister has also been a wildly successful real estate agent in Los Angeles for the last 20 years. Her family continues to maintain their 300 Acre “Someday” ranch in Fredericksburg for 45 years now. In 2014, Jennie recorded over $4M in real estate transactions. This was her highest year ever after working part time for 6 years, to be at home with her beautiful boys, Quinten and Liam.
Jennie attended the University of Texas at Austin and in 1991 received a bachelor’s degree in Art History with a minor in French. Upon graduation she decided to re-enroll in school at UT for a degree in Interior Design. The interior design world occupied Jennie for about 10 years, 3 years in Los Angeles. Jennie was ready to return home to Austin. At her mother and sister’s suggestion, Jennie decided to obtain her real estate license. During her first year at Keller Williams, Jennie capped at $1,000,000. Her sales that year were all $90k-$150k condos, primarily in East Austin. Working with her husband on his properties in East Austin was the perfect opportunity to combine all of Jennie’s passions including remodeling, configuring space, selecting finishes and staging the property, marketing, negotiations, etc. These projects have given Jennie much insight into all aspects of buying and selling homes, like taking care of clients by helping them to get their property ready to be listed, or by helping them to look past undesirable qualities and to visualize the possibilities. She always seems to do it with a smile, which is owed to her passion for the business and her friendly, personable style. Jennie moved to Diane Dopson Properties in January 2015 and enjoys being a part of an exceptional team of like-minded agents.
